The City of Golden Colorado has changed dramatically in the past twenty years, with downtown redevelopment and suburban expansion. In spite of this dramatic change, Golden maintains unique character and close-knit community, and in the last few years, Golden’s planning initiatives have emphasized citizen engagement and quality of life. On this tour, learn about Golden Vision 2030, a Heart & Soul community planning project. Golden Vision 2030 is a partnership between the Orton Family Foundation and the City of Golden, and has used innovative approaches to public engagement and planning processes. You will also have time to discover Golden first-hand — a small town that boasts thriving downtown businesses and breathtaking scenery, as well as legendary American breweries and a whitewater canoe and kayak park.
