Thanks
Melissa and Robert, thanks for your suggestions! Unfortunately at this point we have filled all slots for this year's conference, which we will post here in the next couple of days. I looked at your references and really like your work. We'll make sure to keep you in the loop for future events like this.
Thanks, Chris
Sandbox addition
I'd like to see Yellowwood's work on evaluating community resilience added! Thx.
Thanks for the Suggestions!
Hi Melissa,
Thanks so much for the suggestions for the Sandbox - we've followed Yellowwood's work for a long time and really like the tools and processes you mentioned. We'll be working on adding tools throughout the summer and will definitely keep these in mind. Please let us know of any other good tools you hear about!
Community Sandbox
I have a couple of ideas for this sandbox. One is our You Get What You Measure process which I proposed for one of the tool sessions. Also, we have a Green Community Technologies process that we use to help communities think about their municipal infrastructure and ways of using green alternative technologies to repair and replace infrastructure. You can visit "www.greencommunitytechnologies.com" to learn more. Finally, we have been working with the Ford Foundation on their Wealth Creation in Rural Communities initiative, through which we have developed a community wealth matrix, considering rural economic development through the lens of seven forms of community wealth (Social capital, intellectual capital, individual capital, natural capital, built capital, financial capital and political capital). You can learn more about this at "www.yellowwood.org/wealthcreation.aspx".
